Snæfellsnes Peninsula

Snæfellsnesjökull National Park which is the smallest of the country´s three national parks. First of all is no doubt the Glacier itself with the volcano under the icecap, and the adventure in Jules Verne novel ´A Journey to the Centre of the Earth´begins here, and also called one of the energy centers of the earth.

We have craters Eldborg, hot springs, where you could take a bath in, nice cold mineral water coming from the ground where you can refilled your waterbottle,  basalt seacliffs Lóndrangar, huge gorge Rauðfeldsgjá, historic black volcanic sand beach Djúpalónssandur beach, the old fishing villages Arnarstapi and Hellnar with these amaizing rock formations in the seacliffs,

and visit the most photgraphed mountain Kirkjufell, also known as the mountain shaped like an arrowhead from the HBO series, Game of Thrones.
